Thrills & Excitement For Fans At Marvel Universe Live

By  |

Marvel Universe LIVE! will captivate audiences with an authentic and original story that brings more than 25 Marvel icons together on one awesome quest. The Cosmic Cube, the source of ultimate power and one of the most feared and coveted treasures in the Marvel Universe, has been shattered into pieces by the Mighty Thor in order to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. With the pieces scattered across the globe, Thor’s villainous brother Loki devises a scheme to clone its powers, inciting a threat that could not only decimate Earth but also obliterate the Universe.

My family and I were so excited to see Marvel Universe Live at Moda Center in Portland – we are all big Marvel fans (especially my son!), so it was a big treat. Even bigger treat? Meeting a couple of the performers who were in the show ahead of time! We were able to meet up with a friend while there – can you tell they are excited?

Ready for #marveluniverselive 🙂

Riley was immediately smitten with Louise Forsley, the X-Games Silver Medalist who plays Black Widow in the live action adventure. Forsley, along with other cast members, do a TON of motorcycle stunts throughout the show. It’s pretty incredible!

Of course the kids had a great time dressing up before the show and goofing around as Superheroes…

The it was off to the show! I can’t say much about what happens, but I CAN say there’s some amazing pyrotechnics, tricks on bikes, and wired acrobatics from your favorite characters – Spiderman, Loki, Thor, and Captain America. There is staged fighting, excitement, and some funny one-liners from the characters as the heroes fight to retrieve the pieces of the Cosmic Cube, the source of ultimate power and one of the most feared and coveted treasures of the Marvel Universe.

My two kids (5 years old) enjoyed every second of it with wide-eyed excitement and enthusiasm! Because they are familiar with Marvel and the idea that it’s “all pretend” they were able to enjoy it purely as a show, although my son was very sad when it was over and he didn’t get to see Thor anymore. But the show kept their interest and the talk on the way home was all about how good prevailed.

The show runs about 2 hours with intermission 1/2 hour into it. There are strobes, explosions, pretend fighting, and some scary parts. For tickets and showtimes see
