I have always been one to support local schools, but only in passing – buying a candy bar here, rounding up my purchase there, the convenient things. I found another convenient way to support schools with Schoola.
Schoola is a site that offers outgrown clothing for children preschool to high school at affordable prices. But that’s not all – YOU can send your outgrown & unwanted clothes to them to help the school of your choice!
I have been doing a lot of cleaning out of closets this past month and have been shocked at how much I have held onto. My kids just went through a growth spurt and so I had loads of outgrown clothes just hanging around. I could take them to a local thrift store, sure, but Schoola is offering another alternative. Simply head over to schoola.com and request a bag to be sent to you. When it arrives stuff it with clean, gently used clothing, write the school name you want the proceeds to go to and either give it to your postman or drop it off at the post office, the shipping is paid. They will get it, sort it, and sell it on the website. When your items are sold, 40% of the list price goes directly to the school you chose!
BUT – if you don’t have clothes to donate, or need new items for you or your kids you can shop! I recently shopped and bought a ton of CUTE items for just $55!
I know, right? I love that there are name brands and I don’t have to hunt through racks to find goodies. PLUS 40% of that went to the schools that were requested by the people who sent them in!
As part of my campaign to introduce my readers to the fabulous Schoola, I was asked to challenge fellow bloggers to request bag and send in their outgrown clothes to support their schools! So…
I challenge Di at FSM Blogs, Kim at Two Kids And A Coupon, Christy at Giveaway Train, and Jana at Merlot Mommy. Ladies, head over to Schoola to request a bag and get to donating! You’ll get to clean out your kids closets while directly helping their school!
