SUBWAY® Restaurants Is Giving Back To Your Community – How You Can Help
*This blog post is part of a paid SocialMoms and SUBWAY® Restaurants blogging program. The opinions and ideas expressed here are my own.
Want to help out your community by giving back to charities? It’s easy – simply head to your local SUBWAY® Restaurants location and help SUBWAY® Restaurants donate to a charity in your state. From now until August 31st SUBWAY® Restaurants in the Portland, Eugene, Medford, and Bend areas is giving a portion of their sales – up to $75,000 – directly to a local charity in need. You can click here for a list of restaurants near you that are participating – over 7,800 locations in the U.S. and Canada. Pacific Northwest readers can also click here. You can also visit the SUBWAY® Restaurants Facebook page.
For my area (Portland, Oregon), SUBWAY® Restaurants is giving back by helping out Special Olympics Oregon. Special Olympics Oregon provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children, youth and adults living with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
The “You Share. We Share” campaign encourages the community to get out and share their weekends with SUBWAY® Restaurants, and SUBWAY® Restaurants will share right back by donating a percentage of weekend sales, up to $75,000, directly to a local charity in need. As locally owned and operated franchises, SUBWAY® Restaurants is excited to be able to further its commitment to the local community.
