Portland Residents!! Visit The Maize at the Pumpkin Patch Suavie Island!
Friday was a special day for the twins. A day they had been looking forward to for a long long time…
Pumpkin Patch Day!!!
We headed over to The Maize at The Pumpkin Patch, located at 16511 NW Gillihan Road in Portland (on Suavie Island). Just a note for those of you who haven’t been yet – there are TWO maze/pumpkin patches close to each other – if you are coming from the Suavie Island Bridge then The Maize is the second one, not the first!). The twins were practically jumping out of their seats itching to go into the Maize.
So that’s what we did – first thing! We headed to the corn maze and started looking for our way out. Here’s an overview of the maze design this year:
It was nice that there were clue cards – answer a question and it will tell you where to go. So we weren’t completely lost! After a while we made out way out. YAY! So then it was time to take a hayride to the pumpkin fields and pick out the perfect pumpkins. The kids were beyond excited.
There’s so much to do at The Pumpkin Patch – The hayride, the maze, a Haunted Maze, Animal Barn, Cow Train, and of course shopping, eating, and picking pumpkins! Be sure to go THERE to pick your pumpkins! Admission is free, The Maize is $7 for ages 13+, $5 for 6-12 years old. Under 6 is FREE! You can grab a coupon here too!
