The first Christmas I spent with my husband. I don’t really celebrate it (I’m not Christian), but he does, and it was really nice to see what a special time of year it is for him.

I don’t know if its my favorite, but right now it is my most treasured… last Christmas with my dad, who unexpectedly passed away last month. It was just a great time last year, we took a trip with my parents early in December and got to spend Christmas Eve and Day with them, my dad recorded one of those books from Hallmark for my kids (The Night Before Christmas) and even though I can’t listen to it without crying my eyes out, I am going to treasure that book forever.

the first and only Christmas I was married to my first husband (he had brain tumors and in the spring of the following year passed away at age 24) ~ as sick as he was he made sure he found the perfect gift for me. I love lighthouses (as you could see if you visited my home) and I saw a picture hanging on the wall at the cancer treatment center that I tried to get him to smuggle out under his jacket (not really!) but he made sure he found that exact picture for me at christmas! it hangs in my living room at my new house with my new husband and stepkids as a reminder of him and how much he loved me.

Last Christmas, which was my baby’s first Christmas, was so much fun. It was really exciting to buy her first Christmas presents, start new traditions, etc.

My favorite holiday memory is from when I was a kid and my brother, sisters and I were dying to get up and go downstairs to see what was left for us under the tree. At 6 am sharp our dad would whistle letting us know that it was time to come down. I miss the whistle but now I’m making my own traditions with my kids and I hope that they will have fond memories of their childhood Christmases!

My favorite memory is that my mom made us Cabbage Patch. This last year I was able to pass those dolls on to my daughter.

My Favorite Holiday Memory was in 2009, my son and nieces 1st Christmas! They were wearing matching Xmas pj’s with their little Santa hats. There was a huge present for both of them under the tree. They both opened it up and it was a play set, with a slide and a swing! They were so happy and excited! It was truly a day to remember.
