Mealtime. I love it. BUT I there are two things that I can’t stand about it.
1. The mess
2. The dogs.
I have 2 dogs, Molly & Lucy. They are very sweet but seem to egg the twins on to drop food into their highchairs so that it falls on the floor and they get to eat it up. Usually not a problem except for the fact that both have sensitivities to certain foods like chicken and and anything with wheat or flour in it.
But mostly the mess.
My floors look atrocious after mealtime. I have to constantly mop their little area. I have tried those highchair mats but they move around and get kinda nasty after a while. It also doesn’t solve the dog issue.
California Mom Johanna Romaniuk had the same issue. Luckily she designed the Wupzey! Food Catcher: Wupzey Highchair Food Catchers are made of 100% rip stop nylon and are designed for children learning to eat finger foods on their own. Suited best for children ages 5-18 months, you’ll find the food catchers helps save time and effort depending upon the size and ability of your child.
Out of necessity, Wupzey was designed to be lightweight, compact, durable, easy to attach, detach, clean and can be stored right on the highchair. Wupzey is durable enough not only to catch the food that drops, but also heavy things like sippy cups, and of course it had to be machine washable!
This is yet another one of those “why didn’t I think of that” ideas. So simple but SO effective. It velcros on to the sides of your highchair/tray and hugs the footrest. I love that it is machine washable and totally easy to attach and use. It’s cute too! I got the Navy Hawaiian print. It’s fun and cute and cool. There are 8 more colors/styles you can choose from if Hawaiian flowers aren’t your style!
…sorry doggie, not today!
Wupzey also sent me a cool bib:
The nice thing about this bib is the nylon dries REALLY fast. I threw it in the wash with a few other things and by the time I the wash was ready to be put in the dryer it was practically dry. I didn’t bother putting it in the dryer and just stuck it in the “bib drawer”.
